Long synopsis : For the past 20 years, Kévin Naïk has worked as an MMA coach and youth mentor in the basement of a run-down, half-abandoned gym in Seine-Saint-Denis, the poorest department in France. Larger than life and outspoken, he guides young people through combat sports, academic support, and civic initiatives to keep them away from delinquency and religious extremism. On December 15, 2023, Kévin is brutally attacked by a former student and left for dead in front of the club’s youth and his own children. After three months in a coma, he survives but is left unable to walk or speak. As he struggles to recover, his wife Sofia takes over the club, refusing to abandon the young people whose lives have been turned upside down.
