Long synopsis : Belgium 1980. On the banks of the Meuse, against the monumental backdrop of a steel town, factories are closing down one by one and workers being fired in droves. Among those laid off, Fabrice (35), proud of a craft to which fire and steel gave a mythological aura, feels that he is no longer of any use… His wife, Céline, tries to revive his appetite for life. Despite moments of regained happiness, Fabrice remains walled up in his distress until one day he disappears… As if love could triumph over everything, Céline sets out to look for him and finds him. She tries one last time to save him from himself. Can love revive a lost man? It’s what Céline is gambling on…
