Short synopsis : Two little girls, Mei and Satsuki, move with their father into a big house in the country to be near to the hospital where their mother is staying. Soon they will discover the existence of their new neighbours, invisible to other humans, marvellous but very secretive creatures: Oh- Totoro (Big Totoro), Chuu-Totoro (Medium Totoro) and Chibi-Totoro (Little Totoro). With his big belly, is a fascinating being, a forest spirit. He feeds on roots and nuts and can fly, borne aloft by the Catbus. By day he sleeps but at night, beneath the full moon, he loves to play his magic ocarina.
