Short synopsis : Half raccoon, half-badger, the Tanukis share their wild living space peaceably with peasants. Interspaced with occasional skirmishes between different tribes, their carefree lives allow them to ignore the ever-nearing presence of men… until the day humans decide to build a town on their territory. Gifted with extraordinary powers that allow them to change shape at will, the Tanukis try to scare the invaders off. But it will take more than that to force Man to cease his destruction of the forest. In the face of this ruthless expansionst threat, the Tanuki resistance grows more serious, but their troubles are far from over.
