Short synopsis : Tudy is a family adventure film that blends naturalistic storytelling with a coming-of-age journey. We want to highlight the selfless heroism of sea rescuers and celebrate the Celtic coastline through positive environmental awareness. The story follows our young heroine as she passionately discovers nature and seeks reconciliation with her father after the loss of her mother. This family dynamic is at the heart of our story. Long synopsis : Tudy, a young lifeguard on the island of Avel, dreams of heroic rescues at sea like her idol, Begbraz. Her father, the Admiral, himself a renowned lifeguard, is overprotective and keeps her on land, haunted by the loss of his wife, Iroise, a few years earlier during a mission. Foreseeing a big storm, Tudy is sent to the large port of Kerno while the Admiral goes on a mission to the dangerous Tornado archipelago. In Kerno, Tudy witnesses a smuggling operation led by the Le Garrec brothers and escapes with the help of Ahab, a mythomaniacal crab. At the High Tide gas station, she learns of the ship her mother was trying to save when she disappeared: the Destiny. Tudy is assigned to the Kerno emergency station, where she receives a distress call on her first night on duty. It’s the opportunity she’s been waiting for: Tudy disobeys orders and goes to help, accompanied by Ahab. But the distress call was a trap, and she gets into trouble with the Le Garrec brothers. While trying to escape, she is knocked out by an oil tanker. Tudy wakes up in a marine graveyard. There, she saves Ahab from the seagulls trying to eat the poor crab, and meets the Scrapyard, an old barge that runs the place. She learns of the Le Garrec’s plan to trap the Admiral and, with the Scrapyard’s help, decides to set off to warn him. On the way, she rescues an amnesiac seagull named Adèle. After a perilous journey, aided by a submarine, she finally reaches the Tornado archipelago just as the storm arrives. She must hurry to find her father! While exploring the archipelago, Tudy discovers Destiny, held captive by the Le Garrec family, and learns the truth about her mother’s disappearance: Iroise died trying to save Destiny from the Le Garrec’s illegal fishing traps. Tudy decides to help Destiny return to Kerno. As she tries to warn her father on the radio, it is Begbraz who answers the call and arrives through the storm. However, Begbraz turns out to be a traitor, working with the Le Garrec. Begbraz chases Tudy while Achab and his crab comrades, whom he has saved, wage an epic battle against the Le Garrec from the bridge of the Destiny. Just as they run out of ammunition (flares), the Admiral arrives, guided by Adèle, and saves the Destiny from drowning. But Begbraz is on the verge of victory: Tudy is trapped. Suddenly, a giant wave appears. Tudy and Begbraz are both tossed about like leaves in a storm. Tudy is sinking into the cold water. But she is encouraged by a vision of her mother. Tudy finds the strength to push her engine to the max to break through the surface. But she’s exhausted and cannot reach the surface… Just when all seems lost, the Admiral arrives and rescues his daughter. Later, Tudy is appointed official lifeguard. She and her father embark on their first mission together, honoring the legacy of Iroise and that of all the lifeguards of Avel.
